The Cloisters at Gloucester Cathedral will not be unfamiliar to those of you who have been following this blog for a while (thanks to you all for doing so). I have spent countless hours walking these ornate corridors, and have taken innumerable pictures.
And occasionally I end up with one I really like, such as this one. I might even go so far as to say that this is my favorite photo taken (by me) at Gloucester Cathedral.
Before this my previous favorite was THIS one, which I still like but suffers from some technical issues as a result of the 400d’s kit lens. Mainly I am talking about a bit of purple fringing, but that is only noticeable of you zoom into the picture with Photoshop. But I know it is there, and it bugs me, even if it isn’t really noticeable.
But this snap, I like lots. Although I am still looking for that perfect moment when the light and circumstances combine just so.
I am really bad at being self-promotional, pure laziness really. If I was more proactive I might have more success selling the occasional picture. But in a rare display of enthusiasm for shameless self-promotion I will say that this (and a few others) are available via my REDBUBBLE account.
Literally some people have been very happy customers, you could be one of them!
Thanks for looking.
Wow…. just wow. Sunning picture; Stupendous architecture. Absolutely love medieval and ecclesiastical building. This is wonderful. Thank you.
Cheers:)
Its a wonderful place to visit.
This is an eye-watering shot. It’s wonderful, all that stunning detail in the stone, and the drama of your angle leading us up into the arch tips 🙂
I think it has to be one of my favourites too.
There’s something about that magnificent ceiling and walls that makes me want to walk along the cloisters (to admire & study).
This is a great shot – I can see why it is your favourite …… and it’s far more than a ‘snap’!
Thank you:) It is one I am quite proud of. It is nice that others like it to.
wow -respect! greetings from Berlin
