Which is a wonderful looking piece of architecture (in my opinion).
But this is Birmingham, 40 years from now it will be considered ugly and torn down and replaced with something else.
Hopefully something awesome and futuristic. Involving lasers and direct cranial downloads.
But for now we have this gem, I look forward to seeing it completed.
Sometimes Birmingham gets a bad reputation for having some truly ugly buildings, and to be honest it is a well deserved reputation. The 60’s and ’70s were not kind. Many wonderful old buildings were torn down and replaced with gray concrete slabs. But in the last decade or so things have changed. Concrete has been replaced with gigantic insect eyes and gold and silver.
Good times indeed.
Thanks for looking.
